A lot of people are squirming and screeching, demanding that Congress take action. Do something about that damn “fiscal cliff” — a phony elite construction by the way. My view is: don’t do anything and the country will be better off.

When I see this:

Despite that show of optimism, there has been little public movement this week, with Congress out of session and the Capitol quiet in the days before the long Thanksgiving weekend.

I think, terrific. Because if Congress does nothing, the Bush Tax cuts will expire and, presto, in will flow a whole lot of money to fund a whole bunch of good things.
