Can We Now Stop Listening To S&P?

I’ve been mystified for a while at the continued willingness to listen to anything that comes out of the mouths of the people at Standard & Poors. The Justice Department is investigating S&P and these fools had a deep role in creating the financial crisis–yet when this discredited group of bozos downgrades the U.S., everyone gets upset, rather than just ignore them.

And, so, now that the SEC is digging in, can we at least say to S&P: no one will listen to you until your pathetic non-existent credibility is restored?

Standard & Poor’s, the ratings agency, is under investigation for a complex mortgage security called Delphinus that was issued in 2007 just as the housing market began to collapse, according to a financial filing by the company’s parent, McGraw-Hill.

C’mon, not even racketeers get cut this much slack.
