Chazer, for anyone not steeped in Yiddish, is a pig; the “CH” is pronounced as if you were gathering up a load of spit, which is appropriate for this discussion. In Congress, we now have a chazer caucus–a group of elected representatives that seem unable to stop dipping into the public trough to give rich people even more money.
Next week, it’s feeding time again: the chazer caucus will be trying to repeal the estate tax. I explore this in my newest Tom Paine column.
Aside from the hit to the public good, the other outrage is, once again, the willingness of members of the so-called opposition party, the Democratic Party, to go along with a raid on the U.S. Treasury on behalf of the very wealthy. This is another CAFTA 15 situation.
No wonder the Democrats are, and will continue to be, a minority party–when faced with the choice of voting for a Republican or Republican-lite, people will always vote for the real thing.
Thoughts, my friends?
