What Billionaires Do With Their Money

We’re all the same–us and the billionaires. Right? Wouldn’t you do this:

A Russian investor has bought a French chateau-style mansion in Silicon Valley for $100 million, marking the highest known price paid for a single family home in the U.S. and underscoring the strength of luxury properties in an otherwise hammered housing market.

The Los Altos Hills, Calif., mansion is 25,500 square feet, according to public records.

The buyer, Yuri Milner, who heads Digital Sky Technologies and whose investments include Facebook Inc., Groupon Inc. and Zynga Inc., had no immediate plans to move into the home, a spokesman for him said.

   Inspiring.
