So, hard to know if this will lead anywhere but it’s a positive, and comes from an odd place in certain respects.

Time flies when you’ve been screwed. I’m going to write some more about this but, for the time being, let’s not forget that it’s been 20 years since NAFTA was passed…and it was bad shit then and bad shit now.

Really, people are being grossly unfair to Max Baucus, wondering why someone who doesn’t speak Chinese would qualify to serve as ambassador. But, c’mon people, focus on the important lingo Baucus brings to the table: it would be hard to find another Democratic elected official who speaks such fluent corporate shillism…The man has got a perfect pitch. Blah, blah, blah…the most sickening repetitive nonsense is really the bi-partisan stupidity politicians show when they open their mouths spewing out Chamber of Commerce falsehoods that tax cuts create jobs, and stumble all over themselves (with visions of corporate PAC checks dancing in their heads) to demand, right now, for the health of the economy, some new idiotic corporate tax cut. And so here’s a little actual, uh, research, that proves how false the “corporate tax cuts create jobs” idea really is.

The Trans Pacific Partnership is another putrid so-called “free trade” deal. All these NAFTa-style agreements are a core reason behind the collapse of the middle class across the world. And, at least with the TPP, some senior Democrats are making it clear to the president: this deal is dead on arrival without significant changes.

Ah, so little time, so many corporate tax breaks…and so many of them just pure scams. Here’s one under the rubric of “research”.

The Koz is getting paroled. The Koz being Dennis Kozlowski who was one of the few CEOs to serve some time — not enough in my opinion. But compared to the financial crisis people, he got a good licking. Here’s a reminder from the past.

This is sort of the tree falling in the woods analogy — if you grow but there isn’t work, did you know you grew?
