Shame on the Democratic 18

So, here’s the dishonor roll of the pathetic 18 Democrats who voted for the bankruptcy bill. No one should give a dime to these DINOs (Democrats In Name Only). Geez, even Joe “Can I Hug You George” Lieberman voted against it:

Baucus (D-MT)
Bayh (D-IN)
Biden (D-DE)
Bingaman (D-NM)
Byrd (D-WV)
Carper (D-DE)
Conrad (D-ND)
Inouye (D-HI)
Johnson (D-SD)
Kohl (D-WI)
Landrieu (D-LA)
Lincoln (D-AR)
Nelson (D-FL)
Nelson (D-NE)
Pryor (D-AR)
Reid (D-NV)
Salazar (D-CO)
Stabenow (D-MI)

I get the votes of the ususal suspects like the Nelson boys, Landrieu and Bayh (this is one of those positioning votes for 2008, a la Hillary voting for the war). But, Joe Biden! I guess that’s the “everything is local in politics” vote: the credit card industry grows like mushrooms in Delaware. Stabenow? Debbie, how many out-of-work autoworkers in Michigan, who voted for you, do you think are deep in debt thanks to economic policies they had no control over, for whom bankruptcy is a likely scenario and their only option to get their feet on the ground again? As for Salazar, why are we exactly thrilled to have him in the Senate given his votes so far. And, finally, Reid’s vote is perhaps the best reason Democrats have to say goodbye to returning to the majority any time soon—why would the American people vote for a party whose leader cannot distinguish himself from Republicans on core economic policies? Bye-bye…
