If Bernie Sanders runs, personally, I’ll be behind him 100 percent. And that decision is coming soon.

There is an idiotic article now up on a traditional national media’s organization website about Bernie Sanders that is such a piece of shit (stupid, predictable, dishonest) that I was compelled to offer a real, in-depth discussion with Sanders that took place just two days ago. It’s on Iowa Press, a local Iowan show–it’s concrete, lengthy, substantive.
Asked about running for president Bernie Sanders says: “…I want to ascertain is whether or not there is the support to say government has got to start working for ordinary people and not just for billionaires.”

We better stop, hey, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down
Stop, hey, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down
Stop, now, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down
Stop, children, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down
In Iowa, Bernie Sanders says it clearly: “There’s no way we are going to address the problems facing this country without a political revolution”.

The differences between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton on economic policy, foreign policy and basic morality are many. But, in the wake of confirmation about the most revolting, despicable, debasing of whatever moral principles this country claims to adhere to, the differences are stark. Torture. The differences between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton on economic […]

No doubt about it — this Administration has a “boys club” at the highest level. And, if people feel so insistent that appointing Janet Yellen to head the Federal Reserve Board will be important to righting that balance, by all means, pick her. But, do not mistake that calculation with making a choice in policy differences.

Among the many reasons the country would be better off if Bernie Sanders was president is that the man just refuses to deal in silliness. He wants the country to have a serious debate — and whether the next head of the Federal Reserve Board is a man or a woman, or the current president is more “comfortable” with one person or another running the Fed, is entirely irrelevant to Sanders. And so Sanders goes really wild — he invokes the two words that most people will not speak in this debate even though those two words are part of the Federal Reserve Board’s mission: FULL EMPLOYMENT.

At what point will shills for corporate greed ever say, “hey, you know, we can’t continue to lie about corporate taxes”. Seriously, will it be when every CEO can each buy a villa on the French Riveria — those that don’t already have one? Will it be when say the death rate for seniors who can’t afford food anymore because Medicare has been cut because of the rampant, mindless budget-cutting mania driven by deficits — deficits partly driven by corporate robbery of the Treasury — reaches say 10,000 people a week? When? Because right now there seems to be no boundary for the lying.

We still aren’t clear enough about what has happened: the corporate media has framed the debate about the phony debt and deficit "crisis" so adroitly that the back-and-forth on this debate is largely about how much to screw the average person in America, not whether to screw the average person in America. Sorry to […]
